Three out of four people looking to buy a used car fear they will be ripped off on the forecourt and sold a duff vehicle, according to new poll of 1,000 motorists.

Tyre manufacturer Bridgestone has highlighted a trend towards poor tyre maintenance in Europe, with a 25% increase in the number of vehicles with underinflated or bald tyres in 2012, as compared to 2011.

In their latest combined test, the German and Austrian automobile clubs ADAC and ÖAMTC compared various summer and winter Bridgestone Run-Flat Technology (RFT) tyres with the corresponding conventional tyre models from Bridgestone.
